OREANDA-NEWS. September 1, 2008. Almaty - Leading international investors, Kazakh corporate executives and government officials will gather in Almaty on September 9-10 for the premier Central Asia-focused investor conference of the year. The conference is organized around the theme "Rediscovering Value: Navigating the New Silk Road".

The event, Renaissance Capital's first investor conference devoted to Central Asia, will feature addresses by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov [let's check with KZ office on Massimov vs. Masimov spelling], former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, CEOs of Central Asia's largest corporates and other distinguished statesmen and business leaders.

"The Renaissance Capital investor conference will provide a unique opportunity for global investors to meet with the regional political and corporate leaders responsible for the region's economic prosperity now and in the future," said Adel Kambar, Renaissance Capital CEO for Central Asia and Middle East, who will convene the conference. Renaissance Capital Global CEO Alexander Pertsovsky will deliver the opening address.
