OREANDA-NEWS. September 8, 2008. The Mozyr Oil Refinery has installed reactors of the future diesel hydrotreater.

The plant launched the installation in April 2008. The equipment from Russia, Ukraine, the EU included four large-capacity reactors of 256 and 160 tonnes. The construction works are planned to be completed in H1 2009. The project completion is scheduled for 2010.

The capacity of the hydrotreater will total three million tonnes per year and help the company to produce the whole range of diesel meeting Euro-5 ecologic standards.

According to the estimation, the project will take nearly \\$160 million, the payback period will not exceed five years.

The installation of a petrol hydrodesulphurizer reactor that started at the Mozyr Oil Refinery in summer 2007 is expected to be competed in 2009. The capacity of the reactor will make up 1.1 million tonnes a year.

Mozyr Oil Refinery was founded in 1975 and converted into an open joint-stock company in 1994. The state share in the company’s authorised fund stands at 42.7%, NGK Slavneft — 42.6%, other shareholders — 14.7%. The company is part of the Belarusian petrochemical concern Belneftekhim. In 2007, Mozyr Oil Refinery processed around 10.6 million tonnes of oil. In 2008, the figure is supposed to reach 10.85 million tonnes.
