OREANDA-NEWS. September 8, 2008. The second partner inspection of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) is taking place at Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant Sept 6–20 2008. The team is led by Zbynek Grunda (the Czech Republic) and comprises 17 experts from the Moscow, Tokyo, Atlanta and Paris centers.

Grunda pointed out that the total experience of the members of the team was 440 years – quite a good basis for issuing highly competent recommendations on how to improve the work of Leningrad NPP.

Deputy Director General of Rosenergoatom Concern-Director of Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant Valery Lebedev introduced the experts to his subordinates and told the former about the performance and plans of his plant.

The recommendations are to be issued Sept 18–19 2008.
