OREANDA-NEWS. September 9, 2008. Power Machines was certified according to Quality Management System (QMS) that corresponds an international standard ISO 9001:2000 and a national standard GOST R ISO 9001-2001 (all-Union State Standard of International Organization for Standards).

This certificate was awarded to Power Machines by Anton Shalaev, Head of certification authorities TUV Rheinland Russia and it states that the system of management of the company regarding design, development, manufacture modernization, sales, supervision and service of equipment corresponds to the demands of an international standard ISO 9001:2000.

Despite of the fact that Power Machines branches – Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod, Electrosila and Turbine Blades’ Plant – were earlier individually certified in accordance with QMS demands of ISO 9001:2000 Power Machines’ management took a decision to conduct a sole full scale certification with the aim to optimize business processes and increase the company’s efficiency.

While preparing the certification sole business processes were developed to embrace the company’s activities from marketing and market research to manufacture and service of products and user satisfaction survey.

‘Up to date such a full scale certification by Power Machines is the first project in the territory of the Russian Federation,’ said Rolf Sholten, Quality Management and Technical Regulations Director, ’As a result of introduction of sole quality management system the communication within the company improved, the branches and the company started to work within the sole information field and the business became more manageable.
