OREANDA-NEWS. September 09, 2008. Ukio bankas provides its clients with the possibility to increase funds kept in a bank account. This is implemented through a programme “Profitable interest”. From now on, its participants will have the chance to earn up to 6 percent in annual interest on funds kept in Ukio bankas account without applying any additional terms, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

Any holder of Ukio bankas account in the litas, euros or US dollars will be able to join the programme intended for the Bank’s private clients. The rate of “Profitable interest” depends on the average balance of funds in a bank account: the bigger the balance – the higher the interest rate on it.

“The updated “Profitable interest” programme will allow earning these clients who, for certain reasons, have not taken decisions on investing their money for a long-term period. The programme’s participants will receive interest depending on the amount of funds they keep in their bank account and, when necessary, they will be able to use their funds at any time,” Balanda Bradulskiene, director of Ukio bankas Product Development Department, said.

Ukio bankas clients, holding at least LTL 100 thousand on their account will receive 5.5 percent in annual interest. Those, whose account balance varies from LTL 200 thousand to LTL 300 thousand, will earn 5.75 percent in annual interest. Clients whose account balance exceeds LTL 300 thousand will be paid 6 percent in annual interest. The interest will be calculated and paid to the clients on the last business day of each month.

“This offer is financially profitable as the client receives interest for the only reason – for keeping funds on Ukio bankas account,” Mrs. Bradulskiene commented on the offer.

Ukio bankas clients may take advantage of the “Profitable interest” programme offers from 1 September 2008 until 31 December 2008.
