OREANDA-NEWS. September 11, 2008. The production of Gomel Distillery won five medals (including four gold ones) at the 15th International Specialized Exhibition-Fair Wine.Vodka-2008 that was held in Sochi on September 3-6.

Radimichi and Radamir Premium vodkas were awarded gold medals in the vodka category. Another gold medal went to Polesye herbal liquor. Lux ethanol won the gold medal for the first time. Polesye with Zubrovochka bitter nastoyka became the silver prize holder. The specialists from the marketing department noted that the gold medal for Radimichi vodka became the 100th award that the enterprise received since it had launched the new Radamir brand two years ago.

Participating in the exhibition were 164 companies from France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova, the Czech Republic and other countries. The total exposition area amounted to 2345 square meters. During the four days about 3200 people visited the forum.

Gomel Distillery is one of the flagships of the Belarusian alcoholic drinks industry. It produces over 60 kinds of vodkas, cocktails, herbal liquors, nastoykas, punches, brandies, aperitifs. The ethanol plant (Polesye branch) produces Lux and Super Lux ethanol. In 2006 the plant launched a new variety of premium-class alcohol called Polesye. Gomel Distillery received ISO 9001/2001 certificate and confirmed the compliance of the quality of its products with high international standards two years later. In 2004 the company introduced and certified ISO 14000 environment management system. Gomel Distillery was among the first Belarusian enterprises to introduce HACCP system.
