OREANDA-NEWS. On September 08, 2008 Investment Business of VTB Group announced two senior appointments in its Moscow team. Nikolai Medvedev was appointed Global Head of Equity Sales; James Corrigan was appointed Global Head of Real Estate, Investment Banking. Nikolai Medvedev reports to Alexei Yakovitsky, Global Head of Research and Co-Head of Equity Product. James Corrigan reports to Mikhail Butrin and Oleg Pankratov Co-Heads of Global Banking, reported the press-centre of VTB Group.

Nikolai Medvedev joined VTB Group from UBS in Moscow where he was head of International Sales since 2007 and covered London, Continental Europe and the US. At UBS Nikolai was responsible for managing a sales team, maintaining and expanding international client base, organizing selling effort during IPOs and block placements and coordination of Russian sales between Moscow, London and New York.

Prior to working for UBS in Moscow Nikolai was with UBS in New York (1996-2007). He started his career in Moscow with Brunswick in 1994. 

Nikolai graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations with the degree in Economics; holds a post graduate degree from the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa).                                                                                                                                        
James Corrigan joined VTB Group from Jones Lang LaSalle in Moscow where he was Director of Capital Markets responsible for real estate debt & equity financing, disposals and acquisitions. During his time at Jones Lang LaSalle, James advised on over US   \\\\$2.3 billion of real estate transactions.                                  
                  
James’ experience includes 2 landmark transactions with Pokrovsky Hills gated residential community in Moscow: Hines’ disposal of Pokrovsky Hills to AIG and Deutsche Bank (2006) and AIG and Deutsche Bank’s subsequent disposal of Pokrovsky Hills to Goldman Sachs (2008). James’ other notable transaction experience includes  Merrill Lynch and Aareal Bank’s refinancing of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Moscow (2006); Eurohypo’s US 747 million investment and development finance facility to Eurasia Logistics (2007); ADG’s disposal of Kaliningrad Plaza to Northern European Properties Ltd. (2007); London & Regional Properties’ US109 million disposal of the Sun Paradise Shopping Centre Portfolio to Sponda Plc(2008); Trigranit’s investment in the Mozaica Shopping Centre development(2008); Rubin’s forward sale of “Na Bagrationovskom” Shopping Centre to Orco Property Group(2008).
          
James graduated from the University of Dublin, Trinity College with a Bachelor of Business Studies and Russian Language Degree. James spent one academic year at the Management Faculty of the State University of St. Petersburg.
