OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2008. Ukraine will be surely ready to host Euro-2012 with dignity, Ukraine's Minister for Family, Youth and Sports Yuriy Pavlenko is sure.

"We have a very positive dynamics in terms of Euro-2012 preparations, which is noted by UEFA's visits. The most important today is not to slow down the pace", the minister told UKRINFORM correspondent.

According to Y. Pavlenko, Ukraine has actually answered all key and critical questions UEFA had brought up: Olimpiyskyi NSC, airports, roads. "An effective work is now running between us and UEFA: at the expert and political institution levels," the minister stressed.

On September 11, Ukraine's Minister for Family, Youth and Sports Yuriy Pavlenko and Chairman of China's Main Sports Department Liu Pen signed in Beijing an agreement on cooperation in sports area between the two countries.

The agreement envisages sports exchanges, particularly in the field of mass sports in order to ensure the physical development of the two countries' citizens; coordination of positions and strengthening cooperation in the international sports affairs.

The instrument also provides for the meetings between national sports organizations, establishment of direct contacts, cooperation and exchange of sports specialists in the area of physical culture and sports, mass sports, sports science and medicine.

Apart from this, the document stipulates for interaction in preparing trainers and sending them to Ukraine and China respectively to improve their skills.

Y. Pavlenko emphasized that in frames of the document it is expected to obtain a very successful experience of the Chinese party in preparation for and hosting of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and Euro-2012 preparations.
