OREANDA-NEWS  On 17 September was announced, that more than 200 new educational facilities, including additional buildings to schools, will be raised in Moscow during the period from 2009 to 2011.

206 educational institutions with the total capacity of 90,845 students are planned to be built in Moscow during 2009-2011. The list of objects to be erected includes, besides comprehensive schools, 9 health schools and 3 so-called schools of the future. 135 educational premises to undergo complete overhaul, 270 facades of schooling facilities to be repaired and 735 objects are to be improved.

The City Government of Moscow has already included the development of new schools in the address investment and construction program scheduled for 2009-2011 which was approved in August 2008.

Besides, according to the program Capital’s Education-5, the Russian capital will be able to accommodate 883,920 students with places in its educational facilities by 2012 that will enable to solve the problem of the shortage of places in schools in the areas of housing development in west and southwest Moscow.
