OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2008. Depreciated savings of the USSR Oschadbank can be completely returned to the citizens within two years. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko stated presenting the draft State Budget of Ukraine for 2009.

Yulia Tymoshenko reminded that during the current year the Government had paid twelve times more compensations as against the predecessors did last year and as of today already 6.5 million citizens in Ukraine have received the first tranche of compensations – 1 thousand UAH.

“The country is able under normal coordinated policy to return these funds to the citizens within two years,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine is confident. According to Yulia Tymoshenko, sum total of compensations return is real and will be paid at the cost of direct expenditures of the State Budget as well as due to fair and transparent privatization.

Yulia Tymoshenko is also sure that return of the citizens’ savings will not result in inflation in the state. As she says, inflation grows out of unqualified monetary policy.
