OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2008. Kvazar-Micro Company (to be known under the SITRONICS Information Technologies brand beginning the year of 2009), one of the leading system integrators in the Eastern Europe and the CIS countries, the APC gold certified partner, has completed the upgrade project of data center engineering infrastructure on the basis of APC InfraStruXure adaptive modular architecture for the life:) company, reported the press-centre of SITRONICS.

Kvazar-Micro and ACP by Schneider Electric specialists have developed a modular system of uninterrupted power with the general output of 288 kilowatt (N+1), which provides for an uninterrupted power supply of the main data processing center of the life:) company, which integrates the most critical applications, including billing.

For the first time in Ukraine, the system includes the installed new-generation modular Symmetra PX UPS with an output of 144 kilowatt (N+1). The solution allows to centrally monitor all the engineering infrastructure facilities, provide timely threat identification and prevent critical emergencies in the exploitation of the life:) data processing center.

“Owing to a high operational availability, energy efficiency and modular structure, APC InfraStruXure is ideally suited for the leading companies whose business calls not only for a 100% business process continuity, but also flexibility, with a view to promptly expand the data center when necessary,” Iryna Dmytrenko, Director General of APC by Schneider Electric in Ukraine commented.

“Our company’s business is making progress at a very quick pace. In this regard, our main purpose is continuity and perfect quality of services rendered to our subscribers,” states Erdge (Ердже) Bolukbasi, head of data network and corporate IT department of the life:) national mobile service provider.

“What we therefore expect from the data center engineering infrastructure is high operational availability, easy scalability and, certainly, feasible cost of ownership. In view of these requirements, we once again have entrusted our data center to APC InfraStruXure”.

“Reliable operation of data processing centers is of paramount importance to major companies’ business support activities. According to the experts, business is gaining a great need of more capacities for data processing and its continuous performance.

Owing to a complex approach to data center engineering projects implementation, experience of our specialists and partnership with the major IT-manufacturers, we are now ready to develop and implement solutions that meet our Customers’ requirements,” Anatoliy Veres, General Director of Kvazar-Micro in Ukraine stated.

The solution includes additional battery cabinets, which allows the system to function in a free running mode for a long time in the event of an emergency power cutoff. New-generation modular UPS differ in high efficiency in the double conversion regime (95% efficiency under the load of 40 to 100%), thus providing high level of engineering infrastructure availability and scalability in the future.

Back in 2006, Kvazar-Micro specialists implemented a project of data center engineering infrastructure assembly for the life:) company in seven Ukrainian cities with the use of APC InfraStruXure architecture with an aggregate capacity of 700 kilowatt.
