OREANDA-NEWS. On September 18, 2008 SITRONICS Information Technologies (earlier known as Kvazar-Micro), one of the leading system integrators in Eastern Europe and the CIS countries, announced the launch of a new product line: mobile data centers (MDC) SITRONICS Daterium, reported the press-centre of SITRONICS.

The solution serves to be used as a primary, reserve or temporary data center, if it is necessary for it to be initially expanded and/or transported to another location in a promptly manner.

Daterium MDC line has been jointly designed with the Rosatom Nuclear Energy State Corporation specialists, who have managed to apply their unique experience in the project with a view to construct and integrate highly reliable autonomous systems for atomic and nuclear power industry.

Basic MDC model of Daterium set is a 20-foot transport container of High Cube form factor equipped with seven standard 42U racks with the available capacity of 32 kilowatt (with optional allocation of equipment between the MDC racks) for server deployment, data storage systems, network appliances.

MDC is equipped with a complex of essential engineering systems: uninterruptible power supply and electricity distribution, precision air-conditioning, gas extinguishing and smoke exhaust, security and access control, monitoring and management guaranteed power supply. Ergonomic design provides for a possibility to locate any equipment designed to be mounted into 19” racks (installation of equipment more than 1 m deep is provided for), supplied by various manufacturers. Standalone uninterrupted power supply system is optional.

“When developing a regional IT-infrastructure of the enterprise, one may encounter similar difficulties, such as: absence of a site prepared for a data center to be located, adverse climatic conditions, necessity to arrange and manage work in the shortest possible time,” states Volodymyr Yasynsky, President of SITRONICS Information Technologies.

“All of these issues have been considered during Daterium design. MDC sets minimal requirements to transportation, site preparation, communications support, installation of additional external equipment and operating conditions. MDC is ready to operate in various climatic zones, including the tropics and Far North.”

Daterium model range includes 3 design variants: ‘Standard’ with an operating temperature range of -35? C to +40? C, ‘Arctic’ with -50? C to +40? C, ‘Tropics’ with -20? C to +50? C (under high humidity conditions). All products are highly secure and environment-proof. For special operating conditions a vandal-proof version of each product will be provided optionally.

MDC product line will also include a solution for the integration of a modular mobile data center (MMDC), a fully-featured data center with the capacity equivalent to the one of a stationary data center with an area up to 200 square m. Constructed of mobile modules, MMDC provides a higher level of accessibility, unified network and a fully-fledged automated dispatch system (ADS).

Daterium MDC provides for a possibility to deploy modules of high capacity and use 1 to 4 common modules as expansion modules with a view to establish surplus configuration (N+1) for power supply.

Vertical Kit option provides for a possibility to set up any two MDC Daterium devices one upon the other, which is essential when there is an evident lack of space at the site.

Daterium MDC has a unique performance-to-price ration, which makes it economically competitive as a solution for large-scale data center integration. Considering this, a customer gains an advantage of radical reduction of deployment time and can allocate costs through time, proportionally to actual needs, instead of introducing substantial volume of funds into construction of a project with a large capacity store.

“Implementing the strategy of grocery concern alignment, SITRONICS launches lines of complex innovative solutions able to take a considerable market share,” states Sergey Aslanyan, President of SITRONICS. “Daterium line is a ready infrastructure for IT and telecommunications equipment installation, it will be of primary interest to telecommunications operators, industrial and resources extraction enterprises, that establish regional expansion, organizers of such wide scale events as exhibitions, conferences, contest etc.

Presentation of basic model and commercial launch of the MDC SITRONICS DATERIUM line are scheduled for October 2008.
