OREANDA-NEWS. September 19, 2008. Insecticides of “SAHO-Himprom” let agrarian producers of Primorye fight outbreak of meadow moth.

According to the results of a tender, urgently announced by regional authorities in danger of emergency, SAHO quickly delivered enough crop protection agents against this dangerous crop depredator.

Specialists compare meadow moth to locust: beet webworms eat plants, mainly soybean sowings, totally. Outbreak of meadow moth this year became the biggest one for the last 30 years in Primorye.

To protect sowing areas from extermination, regional authorities took large-scale measures. One of them is a significant contract for deliveries of additional volume of insecticides. According to the result of a tender, SAHO quickly delivered crop protection agents of “SAHO-Himprom”, enough for applying at 30 thousands ha of soybean. Insecticides, necessary for treatment of sowings, were delivered to Primorye within a few days.

Chemicals produced by the holding became a reliable barrier against depredators and protected yield on agricultural lands of Primorsky Krai. It is expected that in 2008 SAHO will deliver crop protection agents for the needs of krai reserve.
