OREANDA-NEWS. Foreigners willing to attend the National Wine Day, which is to take place on 11-12 October, will benefit from free of charge visas to enter Moldova for a 30-day period.

Foreign guests will be able to get free of charge visas at the Moldovan embassies and consulates from their native countries. A decision to this effect was taken yesterday by the Republican commission for the organization of the National Wine Day.

According to the commission, this action will help promote Moldovan wine abroad, gain new markets and attract foreign investments in the local wine-making sector.

The National Wine Day will be opened on 11 October in Chisinau, on the Great National Assembly Square. On 12 October, different events will take place in Moldova's districts. Over 45 Moldovan winemakers are to participate in the event, according to the commission s secretary, Valeriu Cebotari.

According to data by the Foreign and European Integration Ministry, the price for Moldovan visas is 35-40 euros, and emergency visas cost 60-70 euros.
