Scholarship holders are announced every September judging by track records for a previous academic year of the contestants. Each senior pupil in secondary school #16 has a chance to win the scholarship for several years in a row. This September two pupils have proven their knowledge for a second consecutive year.

The scholarship is a kind of reward for academic records of senior pupils of the school that had Yerzhan Tatishev among its graduates. The scholarship is intended to encourage pupils of the school to acquire new knowledge and skills, to make them vigorously involved in social life. School Director Larissa Prokhorova boasts better performance by pupils in general and says the contest had more participants this year. The teenagers have significantly improved their academic performance as they want to be at the top. There is a reason to believe that this program will inspire all pupils of the school to study harder.
