OREANDA-NEWS  On 30 September Pulkovo Airport announced basic operational activities during August and 8 months of 2008.

Results of August 2008

According to August results 2008 the passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 868 891 people, which is 12,2% more than it was in August 2007, including:

International airlines passenger traffic to foreign countries in July 2008 had a total enrolment of 442 984 people, which is 16,8% more than the number of passengers carried in August 2007.

Domestic airlines passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 351 957 people, which is 6,9% more than in July 2007.

Passenger traffic to the countries of CIS increased by 11,9% and had a total enrolment of 73 950 people.

The greatest increase of passenger traffic as compared with July 2007 was observed on:

International airlines: Zurich, Forly, Rome, Nice, Beijing, Pafos, Dusseldorf, Bangkok, Sharm-al-Sheih, Pula, Tivat.

Domestic airlines: Khabarovsk, Kazan, Arkhangelsk, Syktyvkar, Volgograd, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Barnaul, Perm.

CIS: Namangan, Bukhara, Fergana, Dushanbe, Samarkand.

The number of takeoff and landing operations increased by 4,3% in July 2008 and had a total enrolment of 9 619 takeoffs and landings. The volume of handled gross take-off weight (GTOW) is 363 059 tons, the increase is 5,3% as compared with July 2007.

The eight months results of 2008

According to eight months results passenger traffic of Pulkovo Airport had a total enrolment of 4 932 389 people, which is 21,2% more than the activities of the eight months of 2007, including:

International airlines passenger traffic to the foreign countries for the eight months in 2008 had a total enrolment of 2 270 041 people, which is 10,5% more than the number of passengers, carried during the eight months in 2007.

Domestic airlines passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 2 287 501 people, which is 31,8% more than during the eight months in 2007.

Passenger traffic to the countries of CIS increased by 33,1% and had a total enrolment of 374 847 people.

The number of takeoff and landing operations increased by 15,0% during the eight months in 2008 and had a total enrolment of 64 701 takeoffs and landings. The volume of handled gross take-off weight (GTOW) is 2 333 thousand tons, the increase is 16,5% as compared with the eight months in 2007.
