OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2008. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko is confident that the world financial crisis won’t affect Ukraine. She announced in an interview to the leading foreign agencies.

“Ukraine economically and financially is living stable and I can firmly say that the world financial crisis won’t spread to Ukraine,” the Head of Government underscored.

As Yulia Tymoshenko says, the Government has succeeded to overcome inflation, the State Budget is profitable. Moreover, according to her, over the recent months the National Bank of Ukraine increased the exchange reserve by USD 4 billion.

“Regardless of the fact that in connection with the world financial crisis many countries have revised the GDP rates of growth towards reduction, Ukraine, on the contrary, over the recent months increased the GDP growth from 6,3% to 7,1%,” the PM noted.
