OREANDA-NEWS  On 02 October was announced, that MIRAX GROUP set a new Guinness record. The clock located at the height of 229 meters on the Third Transport Ring side of the facade of the West Tower of the Federation Complex was recognized the highest clock in the world.

The former world record was 170 meters and belonged to Japan. That is the height of the clock installed on the high-rise DoCoMo Yoyogi Building in Tokyo.

The 30-meter high and 12-meter wide electronic clock on the Federation Tower was built using over 3,000 super bright light-emitting diodes. It started ticking off time since April 24, 2008, and just a few months later received a certificate of the Guinness Book of World Records. Besides the record-breaking height, considerable size and advanced technologies, the clock is distinguished by its high precision and has a feature of showing the air temperature and the atmospheric pressure in the area of MIBC Moscow City.

“We are certainly pleased to receive world-wide recognition”,  says Andrey Temnikov, the Chairman of the MIRAX’s Expert Council for Technical Optimization. “But we are not going to stop at what we have achieved so far. No later than next year MIRAX GROUP may be expected to set new records. As soon as the 360-meter East Tower is completed, we will install another clock at the level of 260 meters”.
