OREANDA-NEWS  On 09 October was announced, that First Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre, JSC  Sergei Arkhipov, Head of the Department of Purchase Activity Organisation Vladimir Bykov and Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre, JSC  - Director of Smolenskenergo, an IDGC of Centre, JSC subsidiary, Nikolai Fyodorov had taken part in a solemn opening of the production site of Baltenergomash plant, Kardymovo village, Smolensk Region.

Baltenergomash is an enterprise that will make low-voltage switching centres (LVSCs) and unit package transformer substations (UPTSs) of external and internal installation. Now production capacity provides production of ten substations per month, and by 2011 it is expected to produce up to 40-50  package transformer substations per  month.

According to Sergei Arkhipov, one of the first partners of the new manufacture is IDGC of Centre, JSC, represented by its subsidiary Smolenskenergo. Three UPTSs (two two-transformer UPTSs 2х1000 KVA and one two-transformer UPTSs 2х630 kVA) made in the Smolensk Region will be received and installed in Smolenskenergo, a subsidiary of IDGC of Centre, JSC, under the work on technological connection of the Federal Centre of Traumatology and Prosthetics that is being built in the regional centre. 

Simultaneously with the installation of the new equipment, the personnel of Smolensk Electric Networks Production Department will undergo advanced training in the Advanced Training Centre based in Baltenergomash, due to the necessity to teach the maintenance personal completely new technologies implemented in IDGC of Centre, JSC (for example, the acquired UPTSs will be equipped with gas-insulated devices, that at 6-10 kV voltage is an innovation in Smolensk).
