OREANDA-NEWS. October 07, 2008. S7 Airlines, the leading Russian domestic air carrier, has received its fourth Boeing 737-800 Next Generation as it was planned for the current year, reported the press-centre of S7 Airlines.

All four air crafts have been received on the terms of operational leasing from the company ILFC (International Lease Finance Corp.). The air craft were received within the period from August to September 2008 from Maastricht (Netherlands) after being repainted.

Narrow body liners Boeing 737-800NG are known for their high-reliability, low fuel consumption indices as well as for their aggregate economical efficiency in exploitation. The layout of S7 Airlines Boeing 737-800NG air-liners provides 12 business seats and 148 economy class seats.

Boeing 737-800NG airplanes are operated on domestic air routes of S7 Airlines. They are expected to replace the Soviet made aircraft on the routes Moscow – Kemerovo, Moscow – Ulan-Ude, Moscow – Barnaul, Moscow – Sochi, Moscow – Samara, Moscow Rostov and Moscow – Saint-Petersburg.

Out of a total 60 air crafts presently the S7 Airlines flying stock consists of four Boeing 737-800NG and two Boeing 737-400. Up to the end of 2008 the S7 Airlines flying stock will also be replenished by two Boeing 737-400 and three long-distance Boeing 767-300ER.
