OREANDA-NEWS. On 10 October the completion of “blue fuel” natural gas pipeline construction works was celebrated. 160 families will benefit from the newly-installed pipeline. The investment is worth over AMD 17 mln.

Nobody could ever imagine that the difficult days would continue in Vahan even if there was no war. The village always needed help to fill in gaps in resources required for solving vital infrastructure issues. Today a major part of Vahan is gasified. 247 meters-long gas pipeline was constructed to make natural gas available to 20 families.

From now on, the villagers can save on their family budget and focus on other priorities after having more convenient and environmentally-friendly fuel at an affordable price at hand.

In the village of Drakhtik, situated a bit closer to Yerevan then Vahan, 700 villagers have been waiting for new and much affordable fuel since 2007. Constructions of middle-pressure gas pipeline started under state budget allocation but unfortunately the works ceased when 1600 meters of the pipeline were accomplished. The villagers got hope to live a better life as VivaCell-MTS provided AMD 15 mln of support which was used to put the remaining 1200 meters of the pipeline. Soon it will be connected to the gas pressure regulator, so the villagers will be able to overcome the usual frozy winters of Gegharkunik region. Besides, VivaCell-MTS provided funds for the renovation of the rooftop of the long-liver of the village Siranush Babayan.
