OREANDA-NEWS. October 13, 2008. At Stroytransgaz’s central office in Moscow, Chairman of the Management Board Vyacheslav Makhonin met with one of the world’s largest oil companies, Saudi Aramco from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of current and future collaboration.

The delegation from Saudi Aramco included Senior Vice-President, Finance Abdullatif А. Al-Othman, Senior Vice-President, Operations Abdulrahman Al-Wuhaib, General Manager, Engineering-Design Department Mohammed Al-Juwair, and other top managers from the company.

In welcoming his colleagues, Vyacheslav Makhonin recapped the activities of Stroytransgaz in Russia and abroad including Saudi Arabia, where the company will soon complete construction of the 217-kilometer Sheiba-Abqaiq oil pipeline and modernization of the existing SHBAB-1 oil pipeline. Stroytransgaz is the first Russian construction company to have entered the Kingdom’s market. The Chairman of the Management Board of the joint-stock company emphasized the significance that Stroytransgaz places on cooperation with Saudi Aramco, a strategic customer on the Arabian Peninsula.

Senior Vice-President of Finance Abdullatif Al-Othman gave a favorable assessment of work with Stroytransgaz in Saudi Arabia, calling it a company that has demonstrated its ability to implement complicated projects and meet strict demands from the customer. He expressed confidence that the Russian company has excellent prospects for future productive work with Saudi Aramco, which is interested in reliable and proven EPC contractors – as Stroytransgaz has shown itself to be.

Vyacheslav Makhonin invited the top managers of Saudi Aramco to visit one of the large facilities that Stroytransgaz is realizing in Russia.
