OREANDA-NEWS. October 14, 2008. According to the National bureau of statistics, EU countries has imported 52,1 % from the total amount of Moldavian export (50,1 % in January-August, 2007).

The first place on the export volume belongs to Romania where goods for US 226,1 million or 21,6 % from the total export were exported. Export to Romania has increased by 1,8 times in comparison with the same period of the last year.

The main export partners of Moldova are: Italy-11 % from the total export (US 115,6 million, +28,5 %), Germany - 4,7 % (US 48,8 million,-2,5 %), Poland-3,4 % (US 36 million, +27,8 %), Great Britain – 3 % (US 31 million, +31,5 %), Switzerland – 1,8 % (US 17,3 million, - 5,5 %), Bulgaria – 1,6 % (US 17,3 million, +1,9 %) and France - 1,5 % (US 15,3 million, +12,7 %).

In the first eight months 2008, Moldova exported to EU textiles and textile products (16,5 % from the total export); cars and devices, electric equipment, audio-video equipment (6,8 %); metals and metal products (4,7 %); foodstuffs, drinks and tobacco (4,5 %); vegetative goods (4 %); hats, footwear and umbrellas (3,2 %).
