OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2008. Two Soyuz launchers have been delivered to the Baikonur space port yesterday. The train with the rockets was headed from TsSKB-Progress manufacturer on Oct. 13, and arrived at Tura-Tam railway station at Baikonur on Oct.15.

After the customs clearance, the launchers will be delivered to the integration and test building for further assembly and prelaunch processing.

Soyuz-U launcher is to orbit the first digital-control Progress M-01M, which is to make its mission to the International Space Station in November 2008.

Soyuz-2 will loft Russian weather satellite Meteor-M. The launch is scheduled for early 2009.
