OREANDA-NEWS  On 23 October was announced, that the Special Commission of the Agricultural and food markets Department at the Russian Ministry of Agriculture will place state intervention grain for storage at Rebrikha and Mikhailovsky mills as well as Pankrushikha grain-receiving enterprise in 2008-2009. The decision was made after another round of the competition. These three enterprises can store 100,000 tonnes of grain from the state intervention fund: Rebrikha and Mikhailovsky mills can take 40,000 tonnes each, and Pankrushikha holds 20,000.

All of these enterprises are structural units and a subsidiary of PAVA, the company which is among the three leading grain processors in Russia and the largest one in the Altay Territory. Overseas shipments of flour made by PAVA in 2007 made up 17% of the total national flour export, and the company became Best Exporter of the Industry according to the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

Vast preparatory work has been conducted by the enterprises – prospective holders of the state intervention grain. It started from mechanical cleaning of the elevators, gassing of the facilities and was completed with testing the equipment and check-up of the railroad access ways.

”For PAVA, storing state intervention grain is another testament to high professionalism of the teams working at its enterprises. There are strict requirements for the elevators involved in storing state intervention grain fund. They concern not only maintaining quality of the stored product, but also transparency of financial operations. PAVA’s enterprises meet these requirements in full. Besides, it confirms high status of the company at the federal level, because by storing this grain, we support the state policy of stabilizing grain market”, stressed Andrey Ananin, PAVA Director General.
