OREANDA-NEWS. Russia and China have agreed to build the 3rd and 4th units of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant, Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin said during the 3rd Russian-Chinese economic forum in Moscow on Oct 28 2008.

Putin reminded the audience that the 1st and 2nd units of the plant had already been commissioned. “Both reactors are operating stably. Now, we have agreed to build the 3rd and 4th reactors of the plant,” Putin said.

He pointed out that Russia and China had other important projects in the field of fuel and energy: the construction of the fourth gas centrifuge plant in China and the building of an experimental fast-breeder reactor.
