OREANDA-NEWS  On 01 November was announced, that Standard&Poor's, an international rating agency, downgraded the long-term credit ratings of Ukrsotsbank (PFTS: USCB), Kredobank (PFTS: ZUKB) and Alfa-Bank (Ukraine) from В+ to В.

These ratings move followed the downgrading of the long-term sovereign ratings of Ukraine on October 24. Besides it reflects the increasing pressure on the quality of assets, liquidity and resource base of Ukrainian banks.

In parallel, the ratings of the banks were taken out of the CreditWatch list with negative outlook, whereto they were included on October 16. Meanwhile, the ratings outlook remains “negative”.

At the same time, the ratings of Alfa-Bank (Ukraine) and Kredobank were downgraded from uaA- to uaBBB under the national scale.

According to the S&P classification, the B group ratings mean relatively high vulnerability in case of unfavorable commercial, financial and economic conditions, however, there is a possibility to meet the liabilities in time and in full.
