OREANDA-NEWS  On 05 November was announced, that outdoor parking spaces and underground garages will be put up around and within the area of the Moscow State United Culture Preserve Kolomenskoe to cover the requirements of its guests.

Now the visitors to the culture preserve who drive private vehicles park on the sides of Andropova Avenue, along the area of the park, on the pavements and grass plots as they have no alternative.

According to an official from City Hall, a parking lot with the total capacity of roughly 190 vehicles will be put up on Andropova Avenue, an underground garage designed to have 1,500 parking spaces will be built on Kolomenskaya Street.

Another underground garage with a capacity of more than 1,200 vehicles will appear in the southern part of Kolomenskoe, under the sports ground.

The small parking lots for 35, 45 and 110 vehicles will be put up at Kashirskoe Highway that goes along the culture preserve by one side. One more parking for 105 vehicles is stipulated by the project to be located in front of the park, on the side of Andropov Avenue opposite Kolomenskoe.

Besides, a parking lot with a capacity of 150 vehicles will be put up on Novinki Street.

The decree “Aimed at designing and building the parking garages at the expense of the city budget of Moscow for providing the guests and visitors to Kolomenskoe with parking spaces” has been signed by Moscow City Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.

It is planned to elaborate a project of protective archaeological work with the further rescue archaeological survey on the location while the parking facilities will be under construction.
