OREANDA-NEWS  On 07 November was announced, that for the last two months of economic crisis Ukrainian oligarchs lost fantastic money, this can be compared with Ukrainian annual budget – 130 billion UAH.

According to Ukrainian weekly magazine “Korrspondent”, for the last week Ukrainian tycoons lost 20% of their major assets’ value – metallurgical factories. Sand through summer-autumn of 2008 major assets of Ukrainian oligarchs have lost 90% of their market value.

Heavy losses suffered Europe’s richest man – Rinat Akhmetov, whose assets in Spring were estimated by Korrespodent magazine to USD31.1 billion. According to Dragon Capital company, Akhmetov assets lost since beginning of 2008 half of their value. Akhmetov belonging companies lost in value USD13.6 billion.

Other tycoons also suffered heavy losses. “Industrial Union of Donbass” holding, belonging to Sergei Taruta, lost USD4.8 billion because of the lost in value of its metallurgical factories.

Assets of “Illich Metallurgy Factory”, belonging to Vladimir Boiko, lost USD 4.2 billion.

“Ukrainian economic crisis is accelerated by political aspect of Ukrainian business thus to predict future stabilization is quite difficult”, said Vasiliy Gorbal, who lost 27% of market value of his “Ukrgasbank”.

Suffered also from losses the youngest Ukrainian oligarch, 34 year old Konstantin Zhevago. His company “Ferrexpo” become ten times cheaper – from USD 5.5 billion to USD 463M.

 Lower losses suffered Viktor Pinchuk who successfully sold “Ukrsotsbank” and “Dneprostal” – the tycoon lost only USD2.1 billion.

Igor Kolomoiskiy, who also sold number of metallurgy assets, lost only USD 789M.
