OREANDA-NEWS  On 07 November was announced, that a mini-community for large families will be developed in Kosino-Ukhtomsky neighbourhood by the end of 2008.

“The cottages where the families having five and more children will be accommodated are currently being built on the site of over 2 ha on 160A Bolshaya Kosinskaya Street. The community is designed for habitation of 24 families, the houses will be combined in 7 blocks: 4 two-flat ones, 2 four-flat ones and an eight-flat one,” Nikolay Evtikheev, prefect of the eastern administrative district of Moscow, said.

According to the official, the first four houses have been already built, a house-warming is scheduled for the first quarter of 2009.

The prefect noted that cottages were more suitable for habitation of large families as opposed to the standard houses where it wasn’t easy to select a suitable accommodation.

“Every cottage is a two-storey six-room flat, there are 3 living rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom unit and a storeroom on the ground floor, 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and a cloakroom on the first, attic, floor,” Mr Evtikheev specified.

He added that an average area of the flat was 200 sq m, at 22.3 sq m per person. The total area of the flats is to exceed 4,800 sq m.

“The flats will be given to families for an unpaid use till they have the status of large ones,” the official concluded.

Approximately USD 25 million have been allocated for the development of the cottages from the city budget of Moscow.
