OREANDA-NEWS. November 10, 2008. The Federal Antimonopoly Service invites specialists and experts to participate in the FAS Russia's Expert Council for Developing Competition in Information Technologies. The Council will include representatives of FAS Russia, federal and regional authorities as well as companies, research organizations, associations and non-governmental organizations involved in information technologies, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The goals of the Expert Council are facilitating development of the IT market, preventing and suppressing monopolistic activities on the market, examining compliance of the governmental agencies with the antimonopoly legislation, related to the IT industry, as well as devising proposals and recommendations on improving the legislation and governmental control for IT.

According to the regulations on the Expert Council, members of the Council are approved by the Head of Federal Antimonopoly Service for a period of one year. The Expert Council can invite specialists and experts to take part in its meetings according to the agenda.
