OREANDA-NEWS  On 11 November was announced, that the Committee for Trade of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Trade awarded to BTA the top spot in its special "Assistance to Export Promotion" nomination citing the bank’s contribution to the growth of export-oriented businesses made with trade finance instruments.

The recognition was part of the 2nd Best National Ready Goods Exporter Awards held by the Ministry to encourage non-commodity sector exporters. The committee had more than 50 domestic companies to select from.

BTA enjoys a comfortable lead in trade finance in Kazakhstan. Export destinations include CIS countries (Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan), Baltic nations (Estonia, Latvia) and the Far Abroad (Switzerland, China, the Netherlands, Poland, the UK, Italy, Germany). The projects to receive financing have been related to oil and gas, agriculture, food and chemical industries.

BTA pioneers new financing structures and constantly perfects them. By virtue of the trade finance instruments it deploys, BTA shields the nation’s exporters from risks inherent in international commerce. By tapping its unique partner-bank network, BTA has opened for Kazakhstan’s exporters the door into the CIS expanding the country’s export potential.

Other contested nominations were the "Best Exporter of the Year", "National Brand 2008", "Best Export Strategy 2008", "Best SME Exporter".
