OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2008. The insurance company ROSNO has developed an innovative product "International Medical Insurance", enabling insurants to receive medical aid for the widest possible range of diseases traditionally excluded from the insurance coverage — including the most sophisticated operations in any part of the world, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The program "International Medical Insurance" has no analogues in the Russian market. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that insurants have access to the extensive range of medical services (from disease diagnostics to the extremely sophisticated operations) throughout the world. The insurance amount is 2,000,000 euro.

Under this program, the insured event is the application for medical, medico-transportation and other assistance in different countries due to the emergency need or in accordance with plan indications.

The product "International Medical Insurance" involves arrangement of, and payment for, the medical aid for the wide range of diseases and conditions, including protracted ones or the ones requiring expensive treatment. This list includes oncological diseases, hepatitis, tuberculosis, pancreatic diabetes, and professional diseases. If, within the insured period, any disease is discovered, then, in case of prolongation of the insurance contract, this disease will continue to be covered as well.

The list of covered types of medical assistance includes outpatient treatment, hospital treatment, pregnancy management and obstetrics, medical rehabilitation, hemodialysis, medical assistance in case of HIV or diseases caused thereby, and transplantation of organs.

Furthermore, the clients serviced under the program are reimbursed for the cost of medical products and drugs. An emergency or scheduled hospitalization of the insurant may be arranged. In case of staying abroad under medical observation, the company will arrange accommodation outside the clinic and provision of medical examination services by external medical personnel. In critical situations, the company will arrange emergency evacuation of the client to the country of his or her permanent residence. If the client has to be accompanied in the process, the company will also reimburse the transport costs for such attendant.

The assistance to the insurants throughout the world is provided on a 24-hour basis. To this end, the company has established a dedicated medical hotline responding in any time of day. In case of medical aid arrangements abroad under the program "International Medical Insurance", the professional translator services can also be rendered.

The program contemplates an exceptional opportunity to obtain insurance protection for the insurant’s relatives, including children and adults aged below 60.

The product offered by ROSNO is oriented not only towards private clients, but also towards legal entities. In case of each individual contract, the scope of certain medical services may be adjusted, depending on the insurant’s state of health. The cost of insurance also depends on the chosen franchise (the amount to be initially paid by the insurant for his or her treatment at his or her own expense). For example, the policy for an adult male aged 32 will cost 2826 euro per year, provided that the franchise equals 500 euro.

"When developing this product, we sought to offer clients the way out of critical situations by providing them access to the state-of-the-art medical technologies worldwide. The holder of such policy will never be left alone with his or her problem: immediately after it becomes necessary, the client will get prompt advice on any issues related to the high-quality medical aid. We enable clients as much as possible to make proper and balanced decisions. Our clients can be sure that they will be rendered the entire scope of necessary medical services, the quality whereof is monitored by the insurer’s experts, and that they will never be short of funds when paying for their treatment", commented Olga Stepennova, head of Allianz Eurasia Medicine, member of the Board, and Deputy CEO of ROSNO.
