OREANDA-NEWS. On November 07, 2008 The Penza diesel plant has started delivering new TK32-07 turbo-chargers to its customers, reported the press-centre of Transmashholding.

The new turbo-chargers will be used for locomotive diesels of the 1A-9DG, version 3 type manufactured by Kolomensky Zavod (also a Transmashholding member company) and also to upgrade and extend the service life of the previously built 2TE10 main line fright diesel locomotives.

The TK32-07 is designed to supercharge a diesel engine for greater power and coefficient of efficiency.

A total of 15 turbo-chargers have been produced so far with another 15 to be manufactured by the yearend. All the turbo-chargers will be sent to the Ussuriysk Locomotive Repair Plant as part of 1A-9DG, version 3 diesel engines.

At the same time, another modification of turbo-chargers, TK32-09 designed for diesel-generators 1A-9DG, version 2, is undergoing the final stage of tests at the Penzadieselmash. They are planned to be launched into production by the end of 2008.

The production of TK32 turbo-chargers by the Penza plant will be enough to completely meet the demand of Kolomensky Zavod.

Production of turbo-chargers for various types of diesel engines is one of the key activities of the Penza plant. The plant sold a total of 601 turbo-chargers in 2007.
