OREANDA-NEWS  On 12 November was announced, that management of Alfa-Bank Ukraine decided to open its representative offices in Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. These are vital for development of the Bank's business, as the volume of export and import operations, pursued by the Banks' clients, is constantly growing in the regions. Thus, as compared to the first half of 2007, volume of Ukrainian export in the first half of 2008 has grown by 28,5% up to USD 19,790.7M, while the volume of import grew by 52,2%, up to USD 16,233.2M. For example, Ukrainian import from Asia in the first half of 2008 has grown by 89,7%, while import from Africa has grown by 96,2% during the same period. The growth in Korean Republic was 65,6% and reached USD 496.4M, while in Japan 116,4% and made USD 556.2M.

"Nowadays no Ukrainian bank is represented in this region, - said Andrey Bobyshev, Director, Treasury and Capital Markets. – We plan to cooperate actively with financial organizations and companies from Asian, African and Pacific regions".

Also, there will be a number of fine-tuned solutions and brand-new bank products developed for the benefit of the Bank's clients in order to promote partnerships with industries and companies from these regions and to optimize export and import operations.
