OREANDA-NEWS. November 14, 2008. In the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) Mr. Anatoly Golomolzin, Deputy Head of the FAS Russia, the representatives of the "Aeroflot", "S7", "Lufthansa" airlines as well as a representative of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) hold a meeting where they discussed the current situation with the aviation in the Russian Federation and in the whole world, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

During the meeting the participants touched upon the issues of price setting for aviation fuel including the extent to which the price is determined by quotations of the external market. Besides, the participants discussed the peculiarities of the market and IATA recommendations on concluding the contracts between airlines, oil companies and fuel filling complexes that provide fueling services in the airports.

The discussion on these issues is very actual due to instability of prices for aviation fuel. Besides, at present the FAS Russia is preparing the draft rules of non-discriminatory access to the airports' services that include the rules for making contracts for aviation fuel provision.

The Government of the Russian Federation and the market participants are discussing the price setting mechanisms that are based on the price formula depending on the quotations on the external markets (including Rotterdam, Singapore) and reflecting the differences between the conditions of supply to the internal and external markets.
