OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2008. The Government will encourage financial problem-solving of the chemical enterprises. This was informed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko.

According to her, such Government’s obligation to chemical enterprises is envisaged in the signed today Memorandum of Understanding between the CMU and enterprises of the chemical complex.

Yulia Tymoshenko noted that Government to hold negotiations with banks on releasing deposits of chemical enterprises and extending credits aimed at the development and reinforcement of circulating assets of chemical enterprises.

According to the PM, a list of enterprises which failed to obtain the VAT return will be compiled within three days, “We spare no effort to return at most the VAT to chemical enterprises within three days”.

Yulia Tymoshenko informed that Government would also hold negotiations with other countries of the world on suspending antidumping investigations of the chemical enterprises of Ukraine.

The Prime Minister told that within a week relevant bills and draft resolutions of the Government would be developed on the basis of the cooperation plan between the Government and enterprises of the chemical complex.

Moreover, Yulia Tymoshenko noted that according to the Memorandum, chemical enterprises assume social obligations, in particular, concerning preservation of workplaces, wages and social programs. As Yulia Tymoshenko says, in that way, any changes of the social package are possible only by labour collectives, trade unions consent through a social dialogue.
