OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2008. A general contractor of the Olimpiysky NSC should be a Ukrainian company. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Ivan Vasiunyk announced following the meeting of executive Interdepartmental anti-crisis working group on preparing and reconstruction of main sporting arena of the country.

“I consider that like with Lviv stadium, the same in the variant with Kyiv stadium the most correct decision would be, including with the view to the response to the defined crisis tendencies in Ukrainian economy, the general contractor has to become a Ukrainian building company,” Ivan Vasiunyk said.

At the same time Vice Premier announced that during today’s sitting technical-economic grounds of reconstruction has been reconsidered again. Ivan Vasiunyk is convinced that on Wednesday, November 19, the technical and economic assessment of the project will be raised at the Govt’s sitting and will be approved.

“It means that the Olimpiysky NSC comes out to the most important phase. All formal things concerning start of the construction have been solved. The Government still confirms it has financed and will continue financing this project in full,” Vice Premier added.

Moreover, Ivan Vasiunyk announced the Cabinet of Ministers will consider a system of support for the private investors which will deal with construction of hotel complexes within the frames of Euro-2012 gearing-up.

“The story goes with special permit procedures, with possible exempting from a number of local taxes, it goes with a very clear system of VAT return, timely return of VAT,” Ivan Vasiunyk emphasized.

According to Vice Prime Minister, November 19 construction works are due to commence on Lviv stadium.
