OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2008. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko states that State Budget of the current year will be over fulfilled despite the global financial crisis.

She disclosed this at a meeting with heads of regional executive authorities on issues concerning fulfillment of the 2008 State Budget. According to the Premier, the budget figures allow to finance all scheduled expenses.

“I see no grounds to suspend the financing of budget institutions, key needs of regions, districts, cities,” Yulia Tymoshenko noted.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine commissioned the heads of state regional administrations to take under personal control the process of financing the budget sphere and especially protected articles, “if somewhere failure occurs I’d like you to call me up and explain such situations”.

Besides, Yulia Tymoshenko said that State Customs Service and State Tax Administration summing up 10 months of the current year show overfulfillment of the State Budget.

As she says, according to the STA information about implementation of the scheduled income figures of the State Budget during January-October 2008 the majority of regions are overfulfilling the budget. In particular, Dnipropetrovsk region – 138%, Odesa – 136%, Sumy – 129%, Ternopil – 124%, Ivano-Frankivsk – 115%, Rivne -114%, Lviv – 112%, Chernihiv -111%, Zhytomyr – 110%, AR of Crimea – 110%, the city of Sevastopol – 109%, Khmelnytskyi -109%, Vinnytsia – 108%, Chernivtsi -107%.

Other regions reach 100%. The Prime Minister of Ukraine thanked the governors, mayors, heads of tax administrations for such figures at the time of hard financial crisis. “There are no objective reasons today to underfulfill the budget in 10 months,” Yulia Tymoshenko stated.
