OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2008. In the conditions of the global recession, Belarus, due to its poorly developed stock market, weak integration in the world economy and relative closeness of the banking system appears a small ‘island of stability’.

How long will the Belarusian economy resist the negative external factors? In what way will the collapse in global financial markets impact local banking and finance?

These and other issues will be discussed at the National Bank-supported 4th International Annual Conference ‘Bank, capital and investments for business and regions’ to be held in Minsk 3 December 2008.
