OREANDA-NEWS  On 24 November was announced, that according to preliminary statements, the aggregate written premium on direct insurance contracts entered by the branches of Ingosstrakh incorporated in the Far East Regional Center (RC) in 9 months 2008 amounts to RUR 558 mln, or 17% higher than in the same period of Year 2007.

The size of written premium in voluntary insurance other than life insurance was reported to amount RUR 322 mln (+13%), including RUR 48 mln in private insurance, RUR 199 mln (+25%) in property insurance and RUR 75 mln in liability insurance. The size of written premium in compulsory motor third party liability insurance was RUR 236 mln (+23%).

The payments made by IJSC Ingosstrakh under direct insurance contracts over the first nine months of 2008 amounted to RUR 232 mln, including RUR 12 mln in voluntary private insurance, RUR 47 mln in property insurance and RUR 23 mln in voluntary liability insurance. Compulsory motor third party liability insurance payments made amounted to RUR 150 mln.

‘The most dynamic lines of business of the Far East Regional Center of IJSC Ingosstrakh in the first 9 months of 2008 were voluntary vehicle insurance, property insurance and liability insurance of legal entities,’ says Tatyana Mezhueva, Directof the RC. – The size of premium on voluntary vehicle insurance amounted to RUR 63 mln, growing 113% over the level of premium reported for the same period last year due to the active expansion of the agency network, our contacts with the banks, car dealers and introduction of new products in the market. The size of premium in property insurance and liability insurance of legal entities is RUR 66 mln, which is 34% higher than last year due to our expanded presence in the market of agricultural insurance.’

The Far East Regional Center accounts for the branches of IJSC Ingosstrakh based in Anadyr, Birobidzhan, Blagoveshchensk, Vladivostok, Magadan, Palana, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Khabarovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Yakutsk.
