OREANDA-NEWS. November 24, 2008. Sea Launch and Intelsat have signed a multiple launch services contract for five missions on the Sea Launch system, scheduled for execution beginning in late 2010 through 2012.

Sea Launch partners and their operational contributions are:

Boeing Commercial Space Company, providing the payload fairing, analytical and physical spacecraft integration and mission operations

RSC Energia, providing the Block DM-SL upper stage, launch vehicle integration and mission operations

SDO Yuzhnoye / PO Yuzhmash, providing the first two Zenit-3SL stages, launch vehicle integration support and mission operations

Aker ASA Group - while the Norwegian partner does not provide operational services, its predecessor, Kvaerner AS, provided construction of the Sea Launch Commander and conversion services for the Odyssey Launch Platform (from a North Sea oil rig).
