OREANDA-NEWS. November 24, 2008. The Kursk Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) finalized the cases against "Kurskoblnefteproduct" Ltd. and "Aleksia" Ltd., reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Both companies were found guilty in violating of the antimonopoly laws.

The Kursk OFAS Russia established that in April-June 2008 "Kurskoblnefteproduct" Ltd. and "Aleksia" Ltd. exercised concerted, coordinated price policy on increasing and maintaining retail pries for the motor petrol grades Аi-80, 92, 95 and diesel fuel. The companies simultaneously increased retail prices at petrol stations 14 times in the absence of objective factors that could have justified such synchronization.

The actions of "Kurskoblnefteproduct" Ltd. and "Aleksia" Ltd. violated Clause 1 Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition", which prohibits concerted actions towards fixing and maintaining prices.
