OREANDA-NEWS. On November 19, 2008 the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) recognized that the advertisement of "Shatura" Furniture Factory" OJSC, that used the expression "The Largest Manufacturer and Supplier of Office Furniture", was unfair. The advertiser violated Clause 20 Part 3 Article 5 of the Federal Law "On Advertising", reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The advertisement was placed in the No.10 (32) "Mebel i Tseny" monthly informational-and-advertising catalogue of furniture and home decoration published in October 2007.

The expression used in the advertisement showed superiority of "Shatura" Furniture Factory" OJSC over other manufacturers of office furniture under any criterion.

However, data presented by "Ilcon" Ltd. and "Felix" TPK" CJSC for the investigators proved that the advertised statement, that "Shatura" Furniture Factory" OJSC was the largest manufacturer and supplier of office furniture, was unfair.

Clause 20 Part 3 Article 5 of the Federal Law "On Advertising": the advertisement is unfair if it contains false data on the manufacturer or seller of the advertised goods.
