OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2008. SE Klaipeda State Seaport Authority together with the consortium created on the base of joint activities consisting of UAB „Nacionaliniu projektu rengimas“, AB „Miestprojektas“ and UAB „Strateginiai transporto sprendimai“, signed a contract according to which Feasibility study „Assurance of proper interface of Klaipeda railway junction with port terminals and balanced development of the capacities of terminals (their infrastructure)“, application and Tender documents for EU support will be prepared, reported the press-centre of Port of Klaipeda.
 
Specific objectives of the signed contract are to determine transportation volumes of stevedoring companies and AB „Lietuvos gelezinkeliai“ for the period of 30 years, to study the state of port terminals and railway infrastructure and their capacities.

It is necessary to prepare the application for financing of acceptable Technical/Project designing decision and the documents of the I phase (i.e. for the most important, top necessity railway project – designing and construction works) from the proposed EU fund following the order set by the Law on Public Procurements of the Republic of Lithuania applied for getting support from EU funds.

It is anticipated to implement the planned works until February 2009.
