OREANDA-NEWS  On 26 November was announced, that during October-November 2008, Baltika Breweries helped to sponsor a Festival of Russian Cinema in Australia called ‘The Russian Resurrection.’ During the festival, residents of far-away Australia could see ‘Vanished Empire’, ‘12,’ ‘Graffiti,’ ‘The Vice’, and ‘Simple Things’ as well as many other Russian films. The screenings took place in six cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

The Russian beer Baltika was presented by the most popular sorts. Enthusiasts of Russian cinema sampled Baltika №3, Baltika №7, Baltika №8 and Baltika №4.

Baltika beer has been supplied to Australia since 2004. Baltika Breweries is the only producer of Russian beer selling its products in this country.

It should be added that in the Spring of this year, at the Australian International Beer Awards which took place in that country, seven varieties of Baltika beer were given prizes by the professional jury. In 2008, Baltika became the only Russian brewery to win an award at this prestigious competition.
