OREANDA-NEWS  On 02 December was announced, that the workers of Novo-Irkutsk TPGP completed integrated tests of the rotor collector (RC-110/1100).

The main function of this machine is piling of coal in the fuel warehouse and its shipment for burning in the warehouse conveyor connected to the car. The length of the overcentre conveyor is 40m, and its weight is 330t. The production output of the fuel outlet and collector set is 1,100 t/hour.

The necessity of the replacement of unreliable and low-efficient system of mechanisation of TPGP coal warehouse under the conditions of constant growth of thermal and electric loadings of power station and sharp increase in the cost of fuel and lubricants was proved by the project feasibility report, the cost of which makes about 290 million roubles.

Mechanisation of the coal warehouse with the use of the RCs has a number of advantages in comparison with the traditional schemes:

- Possibility of mixing of the planned and extra fuel in defined proportions that are necessary for reliable operation of coppers, and possibility of separate warehousing of coals of different deposits is provided;

- Fuel transportation to and from the warehouse may be carried out in the manual and automatic control modes;

-A certain environmental effect (decrease in unorganised harmful emissions from the coal warehouse) is provided.

Uniqueness of the project consists in the fact that for the first time in severe climatic conditions of Siberia the power enterprise has launched the complicated fuel delivery complex of the substation.

Reference: JSC Irkutskenergo is the largest Siberian power company and one of the largest Russian power companies that operates thermal and hydroelectric stations and thermal networks. The installed capacity of the company's electricity station is 12.9GW (installed capacity of hydroelectric stations being over 9 GW).
