OREANDA-NEWS. December 02, 2008. The combined sales of all CJSC Transmashholding member companies in January-September 2008 totaled 71.4 billion rubles to show a 45% growth year-on-year (49.2 billion), reported the press-centre of Transmashholding.

The most intensive sales growth was shown by the main line locomotive segment – 63%, from 144 to 235 sections. The sales of main line diesel locomotives also rose dramatically – by 38% (including freight diesel locomotives – by 71%). There were 36% more locomotive-driven passenger coaches sold – 891 against 656.

The sales of diesels and diesel-generators grew by 29% (from 409 to 526), of freight cars – by 24% (from 1,575 to 1,959). An increase of several percent was seen in sales of some other major products.

The performance demonstrates a considerable increase of the holding sales in current prices. The value increase calculated for the first nine months of 2007 totaled 19.3% compared to 2006.
