OREANDA-NEWS. December 5, 2008. Russia and India may shortly start implementing new projects in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy, President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said in an interview to Durdarshan TV channel (India).

Speaking of the Sakhalin project, one of the participants in which is ONGC, Medvedev said that it was a big project based on mutual benefit. “I hope that our Indian partners are also satisfied with this cooperation. As regards cooperation in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy, “Kudankulam” word speaks for itself,” Medvedev said.

The Russian President is sure that the “rod map” may include all directions: gas, oil and nuclear energy.
