Due to the notice of Zhambyl hydroplant of December 1, 2008 on the decrease of the electricity sale price as a result of undertaken by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan measures, AlmatyEnergoSbyt notifies on tariffs decrease from December 1, 2008 for consumers of Almaty City and Almaty Region.

The tariff for legal entities will make up KZT7.89 per 1kWh without VAT.

The tariff for household consumers will make up KZT8.92 per 1kWh with 13 % VAT

Given this the tariff rates, differentiated by day zone, make up:

for legal entities (without VAT)

- the day tariff (from 7-00 to 19-00) - KZT7.89 per 1 kWh,

- the tariff during maximum hours (from 19-00 to 23-00) - KZT16.59 per 1 kWh,

- the night tariff (from 23-00 to 7-00) - KZT2.23 per 1 kWh

for household consumers (with 13 % VAT)

- The day tariff (from 7-00 to 23-00) - KZT11.44 per 1 kWh,

- The night tariff (from 23-00 to 7-00) - KZT2.52 per 1 kWh.

The main constituents of AlmatyEnergoSbyt electricity sale price are: the electricity price on the wholesale market, the transmission tariff through regional and inter-regional networks.

Therefore, any change in electricity price on sources leads to the change in tariff for consumers. AlmatyEnergoSbyt immediately reacts to any changes in tariff constituents and in this case decreases consumer tariffs from December 1, 2008, i.e. from the day of the price change notice receipt from Zhambyl hydroplant.
